Girls room

So as some of you know, we have a little house and the bedrooms don't have a ton of space. For the most part I love this because it keeps us together. However, the lack of space causes a problem with all the stuff we have. So I am trying to get the house a little more organized. Today's goal was the girls room. Since my dad and stepmom so kindly baby sat the girls over night.

I am very excited with how it tired out. I do want to add a few things and maybe paint part of the room, but I do think it turned out great. I also was able to get all but two big toys in their room and looking very nice. Tell what you all think.....

I'm doing one of those 30day photo challenges and today's photo is "reflections." My goal with this challenge is to think outside the box and put my own spin on each word/phrase. I feel like I've been successful with this so far but today kind of hung me up. I didn't just want to take a picture in the mirror or even a cool mirror surface. I pondered doing a picture of just me eyes, "a mirror into the soul," but even that seemed off some how. And then it hit me..... My kids, my husband, my family, my friends and my work those are my reflections. They are what my life is about and show my accomplishments, my struggles, and my giggles too!

Dont make mommy repeat herself......

I am literaly writting this post sitting on my couch with my baby sittging on the couch back grabbing everything she knows she cant have and mommy moved out of reach two minutes before when she was near the table and with my oldest switching from tormenting the poor puppy to being chased and scared by the now riled up puppy who wants to play. I rotate between telling my oldest to leave Chase alone and moving things out of the baby's reach. This has been my day! (WHY IS MY V NOT WORKING ON THE KEY BOARD!!????)

You don't really appreciate your parents until you've had a day like today. I don't know how many times I heard my mom repeat the phrase, "if I have to say that one more time...." as a child I always took those "one mores" for granted. I never stopped to think just how bad a time I'd given my mom. All the gray hairs I must have given her and the ulcer I'm sure my brothers and I caused. Now however, I am in her shoes, though with two kids they are flip flops compared to the stilettos she was wearing with four strong willed children. I wonder if at the end of the day she prayed for strength the way I do or wished for a glass of something adult rated? If she repeated the mantra "I love my children, I love my children?" Maybe she just tried to focus on the little bright moments of the day. Either way, I am in awe and admire all her strength and unending love.

On the flip side, I also remember being a kid and try finding a balance for them. Because you only get to be a crazy gray hair causing kid for so long.

Fair Fun

This last week was crazy but so much fun. I used to go to the fair for the rides, the noise, the recklessness of it all. Usually with a group of friends and on opening night. Now as a mom, I go on the coolest and less crazy day of the week. I go for the stores and exhibits. But mostly I go for my girls; to see the excitement light up their faces! They had so much fun. Ladybug danced from ride to ride pulling anyone she could with her. Of course, she broke mommy's heart just a little by being brave and old enough to ride rises by herself. She's no longer my little baby. She now a brave, strong willed little girl and I do not like it one bit. Then there's Jozy who seems to be growing up twice as fast. She nearly climbed out of the stroller in order to keep up with big sis. She's always trying to be as big, as brave and as Ladybug as her sister. Though I hope she knows that being Jozy is a wonderfully perfect thing for her.

Cute hair for the fair

So, I mentioned in an earlier post about how much I enjoy "girl time." It brightens my whole day and is just an over all great way to start a crazy busy Friday. So, I will post tomorrow about all the comings and goings of this particular Friday but I wanted to share the cute hairstyles the girls are rocking today. Let me know what you think....
