Finish this V. 2

Linking up for Finish this.  I really love the open ended questions and a couple of this weeks really made me think!

1. I use my “green thumb” to..... Hahaha I don't have one! I love the idea of having plants but usually just end up killing them
2. The secret to life is focusing on family, friends and love. It's about going on adventures, embracing life's moment, and putting the monetary things second to love and joy. You can't take money or things with you, but love and happiness those will warm your heart in heaven and the love you spread will live on forever
3. I get my money’s worth by shopping sales and looking for bargains.
4. On a scale of 1 to 10, my level of organization is 5 but I really really want to be a 9 or 10. I'm working on it. Just need life to slow down a bit so I have time to really jump in.
5. A gentleman always respect women. More than paying or opening he doors. They should be a shoulder when things are hard, strong arms to protect, and care. They should never pressure a woman to do something she doesn't want and always remind them how beautiful they are no matter their size or shape.
6. Handwritten notes are  AMAZING! I love to write them and receive them. They are a lost art and joy. Getting a hard written note can brighten anyone day!!!!!

Trendy Tot Tuesday: shoe fun

Yay for Tuesday and some Trendy Tot fun. Sunday my mil took the girls and me to target to get some new boots. The girls love their boots and wear them daily so they had a lot of wear. Right now Target is having an insane sale in kids stuff and the girls managed to score two pairs of new shoes! Yay!
Ladybug opted to go a different direction with her shoes. I have to say as much as I love boots, I adore her picks!

Bug's rock star tennies! Enough said

These were clearance shoes and oh so glittery. They are great for an active little princess pirate

Jozy actually went with boots and got two awesome sets!

We found these are clearance and both Jozy and me fell in love. This picture does not do the sparkly goodness justice!!!!

I love these cute boots but glad they were a second set since they won't go with everything.

Five on Friday

Linking back up for Five on Friday!!!!! What a week it has been, but there are a lot of great moments. I really enjoy picking out five random moments from my crazy week to just enjoy.

(one) With Hubbins being gone a lot lately the girls and I have taken to movie nights and lots....I MEAN LOTS....of puzzles. I am very much looking forward to a family weekend.

(two) we rearranged the girls' room last week and created a reading nook fit for a princess!

(Three) my girls and niece are all sick so yesterday was a lot of cuddles and giggles.

(Four) seriously valentines is in just a few weeks. So Ladybug and I will be making Valentine's for her class this coming week! And Hubbins and I will be planning date night.

(Five) this moment yesterday morning. After all three girls went back to sleep for an early nap and I did some yoga, I got 30mins of me time to unwind.

Finish This

Joining a new weekly link up that should be tons of fun. I love the idea of finishing the questions each week and I'm excited to see what each new week holds.

1. A typical day in my life is...crazy, exhausting, hectic, stressful. But I wouldn't change any of it. They are filled with love and kiddos I adore.
With lots of moments like this!
2. You’ll never see me... Aside from some major crime like murder or stealing, I don't really know. I'm pretty open to try everything.
3. It’s really unattractive when a guy … stops respecting and treating his significant other correctly. They should always be gentlemen and try their hardest not to hurt their others. And lying....gah, I hate that!
4. If I could buy one thing right now, it would be … CLOTHES! I am in desperate need of some basic clothing pieces.
5. I have high expectations for … this year and weekend. I want to take the girls on a treasure hunt this weekend. And this year we are doing more, having adventures and changing our lives for the good.

A glimpse

I read or heard somewhere that a group of scientists believe that time is irrelevant. That our past, present and future are all happening at the same time forever. So, somewhere I am still rocking my new born babies to sleep at night. I am betting who ever started that is a parent. Every now and then I see a glimpse of who my girls will be 10 or 20 years from now or I get lost in a memory of their past. It all just seems to flow and the thought that somewhere I am becoming a mommy for the first time or feeling my heart stretch as I held both girls in my arms for the first time, is blissful.

However, I am in this world and here my babies are not going to be little for long so I embrace all my moments with them. But every now and then, I look at them as see the ladies they will become. It happened to day, during the one rare quiet moment of an otherwise busy bee day. I lay on the couch in a Mombie state and watched Ladybug as she contently played on the floor. Lost in a world of picnics with her babies (dolls) or teaching an imagery class. I could clearly see the beautiful graceful woman that she is destined to be. It was a heart warming moment. I was filled with a calm peacefulness. As if God was saying, "she may be feisty and have attitude now, but look at where she is going." My girls are strong, stubborn and feisty. My girls posses the qualities of leaders and My goal is to encourage them to use these traits for good. I know Ladybug will conquer the world in her time and in her way. I am ready to stand by her and support her path through life.

It's a nice thought that at this moment, I am watching my baby walk down the aisle dressed in white and that I am also singing to her whole she is still tucked safe in my belly. That also those moments between are some how still happening and forever accruing is magical to me. A parents greatest wish to freeze time and relive their children's lives. But just in case, I am going to work hard to live in the present and really soak up my moment in time with little kids.

Trendy Tot Tuesday

Yay for Tuesday and some more Trendy tot fun!!!  It's also my 200th posts (in my head balloons and confetti falls from the sky as I type that!) I though about doing a special post but I feel that talking about
the girls and their fashion seems very fitting. So, here are some of my favorite outfits this week.

Tuesdays are usually my relax and bum around days since I work over night Monday and Tuesday then babysit during the day. I love their relaxed outfits from last Tuesday.

Her rock star look. I love it!!!!!

Jeans/shirt are both hand me downs. The jeans are actually boy jeans from her cousin but they have become my favorite pair she owns. I love them and so does she. I think next week, I will do a post about how versatile they can be.

Dress:children's place
Scarf:homemade infinity scarf

Since we are potty training, little Giraffe had two outfits this day. I love this shirt turned dress! It's a few sizes too big but I just think it makes the cutest dress.

Sunday, we went out to my dad's to celebrate their uncle's 17th birthday. It's was such a fun family dinner and the girls had a blast playing with their cousins.

Poncho: not sure bought at a consignment sale
Skirt: shopkk

Poncho: children's place but bought from a consignment store a few years back
Leggings: target
Skirt: oldnavy
Boots: target

Five on Friday

I've been wanting to do this link up for awhile and I'm finally biting the bullet. I've put it off because I feel like my blog isn't on the same level as others, but this year is all about change. And I'm changing my view of always comparing what I have or who I am with others. So here goes! I am linking up with Hello Happiness

(one) We had a winter storm come through Sunday and Monday. It made our little city a winter wonderland. I love snow and my ride to babysit was so gorgeous that pictures were needed.

(Two) Yesterday was gorgeous! So, I braved the park with all the kiddos and Cooper dog. It was so much fun and so nice to just get outside.

(Three) Have you seen Frozen? If not you need to! It's amazing on so many levels. We are a little obsessed with it at the moment and spend most of the day singing along to the soundtrack. Congrats Frozen on the Golden Globe win!!!! Also, who doesn't love coloring. This is what I do at work when I run out of work stuff.

(Four) Plotting a Princess Sofia party for Little Girrafe. I know I still have a couple months but I get a little crazy party planning so early is key!

(Five) I'm loving this super easy infinity scarf I made out of an old tank top! I'll be doing a blog about it later this week. Bonus: seriously, Thais face kills me. Her personality is so big it just can't fit in such a little Girrafe.

Magic Cuddles

Last week was a struggle on so many levels for our house hold. After two weeks of time off and bonding time and some wonderful much needed escape from reality, we had to go back to normalcy. Monday was the end of our family fort of hiding. On top of that we attempted to join our church in a fast. (We quickly discovered that a much simpler route would be needed to survive or our house would implode.) So, with some serious adjustments, a lot of stress and more than likely a few more factors, I felt very out of sorts. To some extend I still feel disconnected. I was craving the quiet down time where I could simply shut down and ignore the world. But as life of a mom, babysitter, wife and more that was not in the picture, so I lashed out or bottled up emotions. As I am sure you can imagine, it had been a very bad week.

Then Thursday night while my husband was at work the girls and I crashed out with my sis in law to be and the kids. It was a great evening. The kids ran through the house filling it with laughter and craziness. And after Sis to be and I got to have some bonding time. I am really enjoying getting to know her more and I am so glad my brother and her found each other.

However, relaxing and nice all of that was the best part had yet to come. After some game show channel addiction, I was ready for bed. As I got down stairs, I couldn't help but smile. In the big guest bed were my two little girls all snuggled up and dreaming. I wiggled into the bed and snuggled Jozy close while Ladybug reached out for my hand. For the first time in a very long time I fell right to sleep. All the stress and anxiety of the day wiped away as I slept and I woke up feeling refreshed.

There is a magic in cuddles with my girls. They heal almost as well as Mommy kisses on owies. It refills the soul and spirit. We don't usually practice in co-sleeping but whenever asked or whenever I can come up with a good excuse, I totally let the girls snuggle into our bed. I sleep better and feel like at night my worries are whisked away into the great beyond. I wake up refreshed and that night was no exception. My mama heart was refilled and spirit was regenerated. I dreamed of rainbows and unicorns. I felt at peace holding the hand of my oldest and with my baby pressed close to me. It was magic and perfect on so many levels.

Trendy tot Tuesday: wild side with pink

Another Tuesday and another Trendy tot! Though, this week it won't just be about clothes. Here in Montana, we start 2014 with some crazy beautiful weather. Since weather around here is ever changing, we take every oppritunity to get outside and explore. Since, one of our family goals is to be more active and take the dogs on more walks, it made perfect sense to take the girls exploring along the river. Since the girls were a little fancy for our walk, I decided it would be great to get some pictures. As always the girls were a mix of annoyance and happy to be a model. So, today I am going to show off some of my favorites for the walk.
The tutus were Christmas presents for their Grandma and fit their wild personalities that day. Ok, most days. I kinda love that Bug choose a leopard print poncho to go with the zebra print tutu. Not sure it's fashion forward but I do know she is super cute. I still have control over Jozy's wardrobe. Granted only because she can't reach all her clothes. So, we went with a black hoodie to match a little better.
Hubbins had gone down to let the dogs get a drink in the stream. Right, after this picture the girls lost sight of them and decided they could handle the rocky terrain.

So, we took the main trail into Giant Springs and did some exploring. See those waves? Yeah, about five minutes into the walk a cold wind started but the girls were troopers. Of course, letting them carry sticks helped a lot.
The girls loved watching the pelicans and I got some cute pictures.
At this point it got really cold and windy, so Hubbins took the dogs to get our car. The girls and I were suppose to warm little hands in the heated bathroom. That is genius by the way and thank you to whoever thought to have heated bathrooms in the park! However, that didn't last long. The girls found an ice puddle and some trees.
I loved everything about this day. I love that we took time to build this memory with our girls. I love their smiles and I love the cold hugs and warm cocoa that waited back at home.
