Button 4 month update

This is more than likely your last month in our house. We are in the prossess of moving so you are about to have your first new adventure.
Weight: 11lbs 15oz
Hair/Eyes: Your hair is growing in a darker richer red and your eyes are holding strong with the beautiful blue
Sleep: You are boycotting sleep at the moment. We are lucky if you nap an hour during the day but you do sleep from 8pm to 3am each night!
Food: You are still on formula and breast milk.
Favorites: Your big sisters are a favorite lately. You love to stare at them and get mad when they stop paying attention to you. You also love your rattle and bunny. And you love to go for walks and sit up. You are deffiantly a mover and shaker. You prefer to see the world rather than lay still.
Dislikes: You HATE tummy time and laying still for very long.
Milestones: They hasnt been any big mile stones this month, but you are on the verge of so many. You can almost roll over and get so frustrated when your arm is in the way. You are also reaching and grabbing for things more often. And you are determinded to get your feet. So I think month five is going to be a big month!

Balancing Act

After a very busy morning and in the midst of trying to get Jozy all set for preschool, our very starving soon to be preschool had a melt down in the car. Actually that's not correct, she quietly began to cry because we couldn't play at the McDonald's play area. I realized that with everything going on the last few months, Hubbins and I haven't really made time to really find out how are big girls are handling it all. That we have spent so much time rushing from place to meeting to doctor appointments, that we forgot to fit in fun. We neglected to make sure our big kids where ok and happy.

If you know me personally or if you have followed my instagram/blog, then you know that 2015 hasn't been my year. Our little Button has spent a third of her life in the hospital, I lost my Grandma, Hubbins Papa is in the hospital and we are still trying to adjust to life as a family of five. There has been so many big changes or events in such a short time that our girls are left strangling. Then you add in our crazy schedules and weekends filled to the max, you can imagine how our poor four year old just had enough. Heck, I feel like she is handling things better than me. So we decided their room (that a hurricane went through), could wait to be cleaned. That we NEEDED to fit in family time and make it a priority. More importantly that it was ok if other plates fell to the ground, but we need to keep their happiness plate spinning and balanced.

Being a parent is a constant balancing act and you are always feeling like a brand new clown at their first show. Things never go as planned and you can almost never keep all the balls in the air. You will make a ton of mistakes but what matters most is that you try again. That you ask for forgiveness and except the imperfection. And that you make sure your kids see you trying and they know how very much you love them.

Our little circus has taken a lot of hits this year and we are feeling a little beaten down. But I plan to get back on the tight rope, and I plan to encourage our little lion tamer and acrobat to keep going strong. There is beauty in the crazy and lessons to be learned in hardship. There is a strength that comes through when you have no other choice but to push forward. So yes, 2015 is not our year yet. But yet is the key word and I am going to continue to practice the balancing act of life.

Mother's Day 10 on10

My Mother's Day was simply amazing! It was truly hard to pick ten pictures of the day because it was perfectly wonderful. I was surprised with breakfast in bed and the prettiest growth chart the girls & Hubbins made. Then we went to the park for a picnic and to feed the goslings. It was wonderful watching the girls play and laugh. The best part of Mother's Day is watching my babies be happy and healthy. Then after a nap, we meant up with my inlaws for dinner.
You know you are a girl mom, when you get in the shower and relize the Barbies are having too much fun.
These little goslings followed us through the park.
I love homemade gifts! (A bandaid for when I save her and kiss her boo-boos! Priceless)

As I was writing this, I looked over to see this view. How perfectly perfect to end my day!

Five years

60 months
260 weeks
1820 days
43680 hours
and countless moments
of endless love!!!!!
It seems so strange to think that its been FIVE years since I said "I do" to my best friend! It has truly been the ride of my life and I am so excited to see where the road takes us from here.
This picture is actually from 7 years ago when we started dating and we look like babies (or crazy young anyway!) This last year has been the toughest and most rewarding year of our marriage. There were moments when I didn't think yesterday would come to be. That we wouldn't see our 5th anniversary! But we fought hard for our marriage and family. We over came so many struggles and found God. I am grateful that neither of us are the type to give up and walk away. That we gave 100% and came out victorious! I can't imagine a more perfect man for me. He's an amazing father to our girls, my best friend, one of the most caring individuals and quick to help others. He also sees the world with such a creative eye and helps me to find the magic all around. I heard some where that the first five years are the hardest and I believe that's true. But I also believe that the next five will be magical.
